My journey with cycle balancing

My journey with cycle balancing started when I came off birth control after 10 years.

This decision was more than just a shift in my health routine—it was the beginning of a profound journey to reconnect with my body and understand my cycle on a more intimate level.

For two years, I felt out of alignment. My weight fluctuated, my periods were irregular or absent for months, and I experienced loss of appetite, libido, and skin inflammation. Despite consulting several health professionals, I didn’t feel fully heard and supported.

This is where my path truly began. As I explored, experimented, and learned about my body, its natural rhythm, and hormones, I grew to appreciate the cyclical nature of the female body. Through nutritional adjustments, lifestyle changes, and a more mindful approach, I realized how much our bodies communicate when we’re open to listening.

Training to become a certified naturopath and holistic nutritionist, I combine this knowledge with my background in mindfulness, drawn from my studies in Buddhist and Hindu art. My interests also led me to explore relationships and the role of our menstrual cycle in partnerships, leading me to work alongside certified relationship coaches in non-violent communication.

You’ll often hear me say: “When we don’t listen to the whispers of our bodies, it screams.” As I began to listen more closely, I discovered the wealth of information women carry within their wombs. I unearthed layers of inherited experiences—from generations of women in my lineage, to societal narratives about periods, to fears and traumas passed down through time.

Through this journey, I came to understand that our womb is more than just a physical space. It’s an energetic centre, holding significant wisdom and power. It connects us to our ancestors and is the gateway through which life begins.

With deep gratitude and reverence for the female body, I started guiding other women to reconnect with their own bodies and rediscover the benefits of aligning with their cycles. I believe in fostering an active partnership with our bodies, where food and lifestyle choices serve as a form of self-care.
